Red Ribbon Week- October 28- November 1

Remember to dress up and take part in Red Ribbon Week. I posted the agenda for each day on an earlier blog post.

This week in reading we will reading many different fiction and realistic fiction books about Pumpkins!

Students will be writing a persuasive essay about the perfect Jack-O-Lantern. They have to persuade me to pick their pumpkin so I will take it home and put it on my front porch.

Vocabulary- Vine, Sprout,Variety, Tendril, Moist, Fragrant, Hollow, Carve

HFW: brought, favorite, might, enough, although, answer, already, possible, either, believe, caught

In spelling, we will work another week on dropping the final /e/ and adding an ending AND adding -er and -est superlative endings to words, when comparing two or more than two.

Examples: happiest, grumpier, smaller, largest, brightest, darker
